Biography
Clubbing9ine.com: “North America’s leading figure in pure Progressive House”BPM Magazine: “Darin Epsilon is doing more to protect the purity of Progressive House music than most DJs on the planet.”USL Magazine: “Darin Epsilon is King of Progressive House Music”

Internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner Darin Epsilon is often referred to as a leader of the Progressive & Tech House scene. His Perspectives radio show and podcast, along with his frequent guest appearances on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio allow him to reach tens of thousands of listeners on a regular basis. His SoundCloud page alone has over 600,000 total plays and receives a whopping 10,000 plays per month. He launched his record label Perspectives Digital in November 2010 as an extension of the brand, further solidifying his influence and presence within the global dance community. To top it all, he was named one of the winners in John Digweed & Beatport’s DJ Competition during the summer of 2011.

As a gifted student of music from an early age, former record shop employee, and former director of a college radio station, Darin draws inspiration from his nearly encyclopedic knowledge and genuine appreciation of electronic music. He cites a variety of important influences in the past decade, from the early Leftfield and Future Sound of London albums, to the iconic Global Underground compilation series, to the sweeping sounds of Paul Oakenfold circa 1999, to Sasha & Digweed’s mind-blowing Delta Heavy tour in 2002.

To date, Darin has released music on many of the industry’s most respected labels including Renaissance, Sudbeat, Hope Recordings, Perfecto, Armada, and Black Hole. His productions have entered Beatport’s Top 100 charts numerous times and are featured in the compilations of Nick Warren, Markus Schulz, and Paul Oakenfold, among many others.

If you have ever been in the audience to catch one of his live sets, it becomes almost immediately apparent that he is proficiently skilled as a DJ as well. His frequent flyer miles seem almost continually on the rise with regular tours around the world. He has electrified audiences across the United States, as well as headlined shows in Argentina, Kenya, Russia, UK, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Bulgaria, Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica.

Over the years, he has shared the spotlight with many of dance music’s superstars including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Sasha, James Zabiela, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, BT, Sander Kleinenberg, Fedde Le Grand, John Graham (Quivver), Josh Gabriel (Gabriel & Dresden), Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West), Dirty South, Morgan Page, and countless others. He has also been invited to perform at North America’s biggest festivals including the White Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, and the Ultra Music Festival.

However, it would be foolish to say that his achievements have been purely confined to the club setting. Global brands such as MTV, American DJ, American Audio, Elation Professional, and Global Truss have all called upon him to provide the soundtrack to their videos. His music can also be found in the films Ecstasy and Slip Cue, placing him in a small category of producers that have ever made it onto the big screen.

With hard work, passion, pure dedication to his art, and support from the industry’s most revered names, this Chicago native turned LA transplant aims to prove that this is only the beginning to a long and promising career.

*Be sure to check out his latest release ‘Red Matter’ will be out on Hernan Cattaneo’s label Sudbeat Music on May 6.
*On Darin Epsilon’s label Perspectives Digital just released a huge package by Antix & Tim Richards titled ‘Another Day’.  Features A-list remixers Andre Sobota, SQL, and Fiord.  It’s out now on Beatport.

“This guy plays under the underground” –anon
Rob Wright has been playing with electronic music equipment and producing tracks since 1987. He entered the rave scene back in 1991 doing visuals (VJ) for parties mostly located in Orange County and LA area. In the mid 90’s Rob helped form The Unity Project which went on to throw a number of parties in the Southern California area. For a brief period (2001-2002) Rob moved up to Northern California. During this time he created and hosted a community access television show called ZEN tv. The shows format was based on KUCI’s Riders of The Plastic Groove. In 2003 Rob moved back down to So Cal to return to the entertainment industry. He currently runs the sound department at a successful video game developer in LA but spends most of his free time nurturing his pet project 3MT (3lectronic Music Technician). The primary focus of the 3MT project is expanded mobile live production. Rob has put together “the rig” to facilitate this goal. The rig consists of an 3MT stretcher mounted with a mixture of audio hardware and software solutions all running through an on board PA. You can think of the act as a sort of techno side show. When playing live, 3MT’s main focus is on Guerrilla performance. It all started with Rob’s first gate crash back in 1998 at Nocturnal Wonderland. Since then he has performed at a number of shows. Speakerheads, Spaceland, Mr. Bubbles, Nocturnal Wonderland, JuJubeats, Coachella Music Festival are just to name a few.

Think intelligent music. DJ Kentrol has risen from the underground and captured listeners throughout the golden coast with his unique style of trance. He is one half of producer duo, Mood Kentrol. Their debut track Do It Again, is currently being played throughout the club circuit in southern California. Visit www.djkentrol.com for more information.

BessoBASSO

In an era of celebrity DJs, instructional dance anthems, and “viral” everything, it has become increasingly difficult to find a filthy original sound – a 21st Century artist true to his roots. Meet Basso. Basso is a musical project led by South American DJ/producer, Irwin Garcia. While most producers are riding out waves of trendy festival tunes, Basso has been perfecting his global bass heavy sound. Basso will be debuting his highly anticipated EP Loverboy, later this year.

Josh McClintock started Djing in the summer of ’91….. He consider Doc Martin, Jeno, Barry Weaver as his mentors and favorite dj’s….. Josh McClintock’s first big break was playing at a weekly called “Middle Earth” in ’93 with David Alvarado, Markem X, Frank C, and Tom Stimuli…

Josh then went on to make his “Acid Junky” mixtape series which landed him some gigs at Sketch Pad, Metropolis, Riders of the Plastic Groove, Unlock the House (where I opened for Doc 4 or 5 times) and various other underground parties in L.A. and San Diego. In ’96, at the height of my popularity.Josh McClintock decided to follow his father out to NY for business. While his vinyl collection grew to over 10k records… Josh slowly lost touch with the West Coast over the next decade. In 2010 he moved back to L.A. and happily reimmersed myself back in the L.A. underground scene.  Still a vinyl purist… And is known these days for playing mostly oldschool sets with a sprinkling of new stuff.

RotPG – Jamie Thinnes 02/01/2013

Texas born Jamie Thinnes transplanted to the LA area as a young teenager and was quickly seduced by the intriguing sounds found in the wee hours, in the abundant warehouses, loft spaces and odd locations scattered throughout southern California. Early on, house music crept into Jamie’s soul and has been his guiding light ever since. Quickly becoming an underground favorite in the early ‘90s, Jamie forged his unique and captivating sound in a wide variety of Los Angeles environs – from full scale nightclubs to many a dark and dirty after-hours, from sunny beaches to ultra exclusive, all-night house parties. His trademark deep, spiritual rhythms and low frequency grooves never fail to keep the dancefloor marching in time to sunrise and beyond. A master mixer and programmer behind the decks, Jamie’s unwavering devotion to house shines through with every twist of the knob and every slide of the fader. In 1996, Jamie’s musical vision blossomed when he had the good fortune of becoming involved with the Long family, founders of the famed Higher Source Records establishment (arguably, the finest record store in the LA area from 1996 to 2003). With the generous hand of the Longs, Jamie and long time friend and collaborator, Dean DeCosta, founded Earthtones Recordings. After 10 highly regarded releases, Earthtones was forced to change its name due to trademark issues. As Dean became heavily involved in the record store, Jamie pushed on and Seasons Recordings was born. 15 years in existence, with a heavy catalog of class act releases featuring Franck Roger, Olivier Portal, John Cutler, Dj Spinna, Anto Vitale, Charles Webster, Boddhi Satva, Black Coffee and Jamie himself, to name a few, Seasons has truly evolved into one of the premier house music imprints worldwide. While countless other labels have faded away or tried to re-invent themselves with a new sound every few years, Seasons, and its revered Seasons Ltd. sub-label, have stood the test of time with consistent, quality house music that’s based on an unshakeable foundation of musicality, soulful delivery and infectious grooves.
